Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

BLOG-CON planning.

Well its fast approaching. I have sourced for us our very own banner so you will be able to take photographs under it.

I went to Foundry last weekend - it looks a great facility for us. As there are also some great offers on for buying figures. I am sure there will be a an outbreak of "SHINEYBLOODYITIS" with all those tempting goodies.

I am working on repackaging the cowboy collection so I can carry as much as possible with me . But if anyone wants to see anything in particular in the flesh let me know and i will be sure to pack it.

Quantity Has a Quality All Its Own - 6's!!! lots of them

My good friend Scotty is in the process of having a turn out of his man cave - and came across some 6mm Adler lads I painted for him far too long ago. So I thought I would tempt Ian (Blog with no name) and Lee( who's blog link eludes me!)

The Austrians

Yes the flags a big! but you just gotta do it!!

and the token outnumbered French !

I really don't think the eyes are up to these anymore - pity because you can certainly knock a lot out in short timeframe

Meanwhile I am starting on my own new "man cave" - gaming and painting room!! Huzzah!
