Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Back of Beyond - Bolshevik Infantry

 I have completed the stash of Coppoestone Bolsheviks , with various Commisars , Heroines and straight up infantry 








I found a small stash of red stars in the decals box and have applied these . This way madness lies ! Fortunately I have now run out of them .









This gives me a decent start of a force for STEA . I need a couple of MGs and cavalry unit to finish it off .

**Edit ** 

A first battle was fought today and they actually won! Mind almost everything else they fighting was new , so someone had to!

    Oh wow!! What a blast from a past. I remember when that range first came out - and the little black boxes/blisters I bought are still gathering dust somewhere in my collection. LOL!! Terrific paintjobs on all, Dave, and what an awesome-looking tabletop too. Smashing post.

    Great work on these figures - one of my all-time favourite ranges - I could be tempted to buy even more - maybe some cavalry, I don't have a lot of that......!
