Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Sudan.. The horde is growing

The drums have beating and the army has assembled - its now a full 6 foot wide!

All together its is now 880 foot, 36 mounted camel riders, 12 Baggara cavalry, 1 gun. There are another 120 foot on order to take me to 1000.. Then a top up of mounted to take them toward 100, and a couple more guns. So nearly there..It may be time for the main man to make his appearance too

The latest batch are shown below.

  11. Surely by now you qualify for some sort of volume discount? No? Perhaps sympathy and/or kudos then for bearing up so well under such an all consuming obsession. :-)
