Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Muster on the Parade Ground - Stockton on Tees this weekend.

This weekend sees a new show of sorts. The organisers (Dave and Tom) have been doing various shows in the area over the years and this the latest creation. Proceeds all go to the Royal British Legion. All the games will be participation. I shall have the Sudan game out for a public outing.

You can find us at P11, if you fancy chucking a few dice .

There are a number of the usual suspect trader for a North East show, plus a number of new ones too.

The only fly in the ointment seems to be a late issue with on site catering ... So if your going have a good breakfast !

  1. Have a good day, have to be in Manchester at 1.30 so can't make it. Which is a shame as I would love some time in the Sudan

  2. Wish I was there Dave - have a wonderful weekend mate and stacks of photographs please mate!!

  3. Its a bit too far for the Rejects, have a great time!

  4. Hope it goes really well Dave, expecting report and photographs on your return please.

  5. Have a good show, I am of course working the whole weekend :-(

  6. Best of luck for a great day.

Work in hand

No more than 3 things on the PAINTING table at once. Nothing new added until something is finished.

PREPARATION work is done when I don't fancy detail painting. Cleaning up, converting, undercoating etc.

PLANNING is expressions of interest or things that have inspired me to be created with no definite timescale as yet.
