Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Sudan - Baggage camels from Santa

This is a thank you to my secret Santa , who kindly gifted me a set of the Redoubt baggage camels. You can never have too many of these. This gift was bumped right up the queue and is the first item completed this year.

    Cracking stuff Dave, absolutely wonderful!! The blue blankets work especially well with the camel's colour.

    Nicely done Dave - those blues add a great splash of colour. It was great to watch them get painted and then photographed on the google chat!
