Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Gaming - Schleswig Holstein Wars

Today we did some gaming using DaveP’s baby . He has been building his own figure range for the this war (available from Pendraken - Here) .

The table was 16 foot long , with the Danes defending against Bavarians and Prussians .

The rules are a work in progress to try and get a simple quick play version .

With over 1000 28mm figures on the table it looked great .Some fun was had too

  1. What a lovely looking table! That is a war I thought about when I saw a small range of figures (Crusader perhaps?) I am surprised our mate Mark has not got into in, late 19th century European conflict is his favourite era!

Despite frequenting Pendraken's site for many years I had no idea they had this range.
