Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Blog-Con day 1

Day 1 of our first ever Blog-Con hosted at Wargames Foundry in Nottingham. It's been great to meet up with blogger friends old and new to chew the fat, and throw some dice.

Ian, Andrew and Pete. aka , Blog with no name, Loki's great hall, and Panzerkaputs painted review.

The cowboy collection has been transported , and I have run 3 great games over the course of the day, with perhaps a few new converts to Old West gaming.

We played the same Man With No Name scenario 3 times , 3 very different results...great fun

More tomorrow
