Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Public Enemy #1 , Joe's Diner -part1

Work has started on the second building for the gangster collection. It is one of the Sarissa City Block items - they do this on in 5 different variations , so there may be a few more along in due course. You can see by comparison just how large the warehouse is.

I have added some more "novelty value" to this new building by adding a working "neon" sign. There is an interesting range of these window and larger rooftop type ones available intended for use by model railway types. I even found a create your own - so you can be assured these will make more appearances yet.

My order for items for the interiors has turned up as well - all manner of goodies.
