Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Sudan - 9th Bengal Lancers part 2

The remainder of the regiment has now been completed. I have these in 3x8 figure squadrons , so have done the 3rd squadron with upright lances.


I think I will add a seperate single "special" command figure for this regiment  - a nicely converted one once I have the mass of the imperial troops done .

Overall very happy with the end results. And 1 of the 3 cavalry regiments now completed. The oil work for the next Hussar Regiment is done and drying.

I wonder what goodies santa might bring...??
