Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

The Pale Rider

A return of the 54mm Cowboys. This time the Pale Rider. Again it's by Andrea Miniatures. It's been sitting undercoated staring at me for the last 12 months , so I thought I would finish him off to help get my eye back in to proper painting. The casting as usual from Andrea was crisp and clean.

Completed using a variety of Scale75 and Andrea Paint sets.

    1. Thanks Fran, sometimes it's just nice to paint something because you want to.. And these figures do that for me

  3. That's some cracking painting.
I once tried painting a Pegaso 54mm, but it was too large for me.

  5. There is no hiding your painting mistakes with this scale and you have no worries in that department Dave. Quality painting all round.
