Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

The New Man Cave part 2.

The infrastructure work has completed on the new man cave and its now ready to put my stuff in!

First up though a proper sign..

Lights, decorating, flooring , new windows and blinds - all done

I will be moving the existing painting desk over in the next few days, along with stuff from my day job room with a new desk and bookshelves etc. The central gaming area will be left until after all the other work we have going on across the upper floor at the moment as I need to use it for storage. After that I will be doing some bespoke solutions for gaming tables - probably in the summer by the look of it. But for now happy to get the new room ready to go...

Things have not been idle on the next lot of painting - well preparation at least..
