Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.
I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.
I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.
I am working on a photo project of the Sudan collection. This weekend James and I set up the 12x6 table and I broke out the proper DSLR. Here’s a few teasers
Collections and pics look great Dave! I confess that I was trying to work out a regimental name to fill in for DSLR before I clued into it being a lens! Duke of Sussex Light Regiment?
What a wonderful collection of shots Dave. They really are a throw-back to the brilliant photos from Gilders collection which excited the likes of us all those years ago. Really excited about your upcoming project mate.
Absolutely stonking. Wow. I'm proud to have been a witness to the fountainhead of this amazing collection during the past few years of the Painting Challenge. Bravo Dave!
