Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

We visited the museum , watched the film ahd the cyclorama with its sound and light show  which was really well done .

Various pictures of the 360 cyclorama - it’s very well done .

Our accommodation was at the Lightner Farmhouse , build in 1862 which was used as Union 1st Corps hospital for about 3 weeks after the Hattie .

  1. David, I visited all three battlefields in May. Spent three days at Gettysburg. I was very disappointed that Little Round Top was closed for construction.
