Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Ardennes ‘44 . The Chapel and winter German kit

Another little update . I had picked up,a 3D printed Chapel and this has been completed along with a stand of Nuns . Well they should provide some random event opportunities I think

The Nuns are from a Blue Moon set with priests as well - though they are very much Dracula hunters l but these 3 will do the job

I needed to add some extra German armour and I had some with a basecoat already on in the stash . I did a basic camo scheme and green brown wash . A bit of base highlight then the winter drybrush and snow gel was added .

An old Battlefront resin piece .

Next is the more base armour - Stugs and PzIV

That’s it for now - next top up here will be some more American infantry bits .
