Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Back of Beyond - Forces for the Lion of Khulm

I needed to do some Afghan types for some upping campaign games to bolster the other guys collections . In the lead pile I have about a 100 Old Glory Pathans , so I have pushed some through . As ever with OG figures they look a bit meh in the base metal l,but come to life with paint .

I went with white undercoat and used some Vallejo Xpress paints . They did a job and will do for now ,though I think I need to revisit the colour palette for the rest of them .
