Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Ardennes ‘44 - Kilroy’s supply depot

Latest Ardennes addition is a fuel, age supply depot . This should make a really good game objective .

The jerry cans stacks and ammo dump are resin pieces from Baueda . The tent is a Battlefront artillery set repurposed with an added standing figure and some extra barrels and box bits .  This guy needs a form 1898-D before you can draw anything you know .. although maybe an 88mm pointed at him will have authority enough .

Terrain work is progressing well . More infantry coming next .
