Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

Gaming - Minden at Partizan with the Kreigspielers

Today was the usual trip to The Other Partizan. Today was playing with the good guys from The League of Extraordinary Kreigspielers and the battle of Minden , with what is a fantastic collection curated by Steve L . The opportunity to play with Steve’s incredible armies is not to be given up lightly . The rules used are Honours of War with house tweaks age adaptations

I had the main French cavalry- you know the ones about to be harassed by British infantry .

Cavalry  - loads of it ..

A great time was had , and a draw secured - result

The show was busy as always with some fine looking games as always , though I only had a very quick rush round early in the day
